Won a Carbonell Award this weekend for my performance as Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet at Actors’ Playhouse. Here is my acceptance speech:
“In a career that conditions us to “lose” quite often, it always feels nice to get a “win.” I truly don’t believe there is such a thing as “best” but I’m grateful to the @carbonellawards and everyone who voted for me. It feels great to be recognized. I would be remiss in not shouting out the MDQ cast. What an incredible bunch of loonies. Great musicians, actors, artists and people. They deserve every bit of this award. Thank you to the entire @apmiracletheatre family – particularly Earl, Dave, The Steins -and the entire south Florida theater community for being my home and helping to raise me – including @rondance924 and everyone at #nwsa . Thank you to my manager @rogerjansen and @kmamanagement – my agent @agentlprice and @tpgagency and of course to my family Jean-Claude, Grazyna, @chantalgoesmeow and @smullen312 for always believing in me.
